  1. Information We Collect

    We collect information you provide when creating an account (email, display name, profile picture via Discord or Google OAuth). We store:

    • Account information: name, email, and profile picture from your Discord or Google account.
    • Mii data: Mii character data, images, instructions, and descriptions you submit.
    • Interactions: likes, comments, follows, collections, and challenge entries.
    • Device token: push notification token for sending notifications (optional).

  2. How We Use Your Information

    Your information is used to provide the Tomodachi Plaza service, display your profile and creations to other users, and send notifications about activity on your content.

  3. Data Storage

    Your data is stored on secure servers. Images are compressed and stored in WebP format. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

  4. Content Moderation

    All uploaded images are automatically scanned using content moderation technology to detect and block inappropriate content (nudity, violence, drugs, weapons, self-harm, offensive material). User-submitted content may also be reviewed by human moderators.

    Inappropriate content will be removed and accounts may be restricted.

  5. Third-Party Services

    We use the following third-party services:

    • Discord & Google: for authentication (OAuth login).
    • Sightengine: for automated image content moderation.
    • Cloudflare: for CDN, DNS, and DDoS protection.
    • Google AdSense: for serving ads. AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. For visitors from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we display a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP, IAB TCF v2.2) before loading personalised ads, through which you can grant or refuse consent. Without consent, only non-personalised ads are served. More info: Google Ads & Privacy.
    • Google AdMob: for serving ads in the mobile app. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland the same Google-certified CMP (IAB TCF v2.2) is shown before personalised ads; without consent, only non-personalised ads are served.
    • Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance): for anonymised usage analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring to fix bugs and improve the app. This may include device information and the advertising ID. In the EU, analytics collection is consent-based via the consent tool.

    Their respective privacy policies apply to the data they process.

  6. Withdrawing Your Consent

    If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland and have consented to personalised ads, you can withdraw or change your consent at any time:

    • In the app: via Settings → Ad Privacy, which re-opens the consent form.
    • On the website: via the "Privacy & cookie settings" link in the footer.

    After withdrawing consent, only non-personalised ads are served.

  7. Cookies

    We only set first-party cookies for user sessions and authentication. Additionally, cookies and similar technologies may be set by Google AdSense and its advertising partners to serve ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance. These cookies are only set after you opt in via Google's consent tool; otherwise only non-personalised ads with limited cookies are served.

  8. Your Rights

    You have the right to:

    • Access the personal data we hold about you.
    • Update your profile information at any time.
    • Delete your account and all associated data through the app settings.
    • Request data export by contacting us.

  9. Children's Privacy

    This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

  10. Data Deletion

    You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon deletion, your data will be promptly removed from our servers.

  11. Changes to this Policy

    This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
